BA (Hons) in Business Administration
De Montfort University and Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College offer three specialisation streams of the British top-up BA (Hons) in Business Administration. This programme is designed as a top-up of two-year higher education degrees or diplomas. The three streams are: Finance, Marketing and Strategy & Management. The chosen stream can be studied as a one-year full-time or two-year part-time programme which will qualify graduates for demanding international business careers and Master programmes.

The BA (Hons) in Business Administration programme is a graduate level 6 course in accordance with Framework for Higher Education Qualifications in England, Wales and Northern Ireland (FHEQ).
De Montfort University programmes and partnerships are quality assured by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA).
To comply with Danish regulations on the provision of Higher Education programmes aimed at international students, approval has been obtained from the Danish Evaluation Institute (EVA).
The DMU programmes offered at Niels Brock are regularly evaluated by The Danish Evaluation Institute (EVA). The EVA approvals have a validity of three years and have a direct impact on the issuing of student visas by the Danish Immigration Authorities. Student visas cannot be issued beyond the validity period of the EVA approvals.
Student visas may not cover the full period of study in the years where individual DMU programmes are being re-evaluated by EVA. Therefore, students must apply for a visa extension covering the period of study exceeding the current EVA approval.
Please note that the Danish Immigration Authorities will charge the standard processing fee for the visa extension and that family reunification visas will also have to be extended.
Niels Brock will provide all supplementary documentation free of charge, but does not fund any visa processing fees charged by the Danish Immigration Authorities.

GENERAL CLASS STRUCTURE
All BA (Hons) Business Administration students are enrolled in two classes - Their Core Class (Day or Evening) and their Stream Class (Finance, Marketing or Strategy & Management).
Please note that all BA students will have at least one evening session per week, because all Stream Classes are taught during the evening. Furthermore, note that all BA students must attend Academic Workshop sessions during the week following induction.
Overall, there are six possible class constellations - two classes on each Stream:

If you study the programme part-time over 2 years, you will study the core modules during your first year and the stream modules during your second year.
Mandatory core books and texts are included in the fee and will be delivered to you during induction before the course begins. Additional literature may appear from the module guides you will receive at the beginning of your course.
All three streams are designed for Danish and international business students and company staff who share the ambition of developing their career to meet the requirements of international companies in the 21st century.
The course will provide you with key qualifications for financial / marketing and managerial posts at home and abroad. Through case studies based on business practice you will acquire qualifications that are vital to the business manager of tomorrow.
Upon the successful completion of the programme you will be awarded the internationally approved Bachelor degree issued by De Montfort University. With its main focus on international marketing / finance and corporate management the degree will provide enhanced commercial competence and lay the foundation for an international career. Graduates are well equipped for a career path which can take them to the higher levels of corporate decision-making.
Upon successful completion of the BA (Hons) Business Administration programme, students with an average of 50% or higher are guaranteed a place on the De Montfort University MSc International Business and Managementprogramme.
De Montfort University and Niels Brock attach great importance to establishing close links to companies in business and industry.
A high percentage of BA students combine their studies with work experience. Many students are employees of several years standing who join the programme to top up their business skills with additional international management learning, as well as interdisciplinary and cross-cultural study/management experience.

Early registration is recommended. International students living abroad should be aware of the extra time required for obtaining a visa/residence permit - in many cases 3 months or more. - Danish AP Degree in Financial Management, or

- Equivalent Danish or overseas qualifications, and

Please note that your academic background/field of study should match the chosen stream. If your academic background contains both management and marketing modules for example, the chosen stream should be based on the core subject area of your academic background/field of study.
The online application form should be submitted in accordance with the deadlines above. Early booking is recommended.
Admission decisions will be announced no later than 2 weeks after the application deadline.
NOTE: Once an applicant has been accepted into the program, the full tuition payment needs to be made immediatelyafter receiving the Letter of Acceptance and no later than May 15 (non-EU) and August 1st (EU)
If the applicant is accepted into the programme, a Letter of Acceptance including payment details will be sent to the email address provided in the application form.
Within one week of having received the payment, Niels Brock will send a signed ST1 residence permit application form by email, allowing the applicant to begin the visa application process. Part-time students will not receive an ST1 form.

The De Montfort University BA (Hons) in Business Administration Programme at Niels Brock offers three Diversity Scholarships (a total of DKK 27,000) to qualified applicants.
The purpose of the Niels Brock Diversity Scholarship is to encourage individuals from diverse backgrounds to contribute their perspectives to the programme. Niels Brock values diversity in all aspects of its institution, particularly in its student body, and seeks to bolster the experience of all students through cross-cultural communication and the exchange of ideas.

- The scholarship recipients will be selected based upon their academic merit, letter of motivation and letter of recommendation
The goal of the selection process is to identify students who demonstrate high academic achievement and leadership, as well as those with unusual aptitudes, uncommon talents and special gifts of creativity or entrepreneurial insight. Financial need is not a consideration.

Scholarship application deadline
December 1, 2019
Scholarship applications will be screened and assessed by the Scholarship Committee in consultation with the Postgraduate Faculty. Applicants will be informed of the outcome within a month of the submission deadline. If a scholarship is granted, it will administratively be deducted from your second semester fee.
WHEN IS THE START OF THE NEXT COURSE?
The next BA course begins mid-September 2019. The induction week is planned to commence on 16 September, 2019, followed by the study start on 23 September, 2019.
WHAT IS THE ADMISSION PROCEDURE?
The online application form should be submitted by the deadlines provided in the Application and Admission section. As interest is high, early booking is recommended. Admission decisions are typically made within 10 to 12 weeks after all the application materials have been received. If the applicant is accepted into the programme, a Letter of Acceptance including payment details will be sent to the email address provided in the application form. Within one week of having received the payment, Niels Brock will send a signed ST1 residence permit application form by email, allowing the applicant to begin the visa application process. WHO ARE THE TUTORS?

HOW IS THE INSTRUCTION ORGANISED?
Instruction is based on a combination of lectures, workshops and cases reflecting academic models and international business practice.
IS ATTENDANCE OBLIGATORY?
Yes. Attendance is obligatory and will be monitored closely. In case of long-term absence (more than three consecutive days), students must contact the Programme Manager. You may download the standard procedure for absence registration here.
HOW MANY EXAMS ARE HELD?
Student performance is assessed on a combination of module coursework and end-of-module exams. Most exams consist of a 2 or 3 hour closed-book written test.
WHERE AND WHEN IS GRADUATION?
A formal British university ceremony will be held in the presence of representatives of De Montfort University and honoured guests in Copenhagen. The next graduation ceremony will take place on 25 August 2017.
