This highly practical course has been designed with the future in mind. Taking into consideration growing disciplines such as artificial intelligence, you will study several defined business areas that reflect the ever-changing needs of the market. These include modules such as Digital Transformation and Innovation in Business and Ethical and Responsible Leadership.

This 3-year full-time programme provides the qualifications necessary for demanding international business careers or master’s programmes.
You will receive an excellent grounding in all aspects of business management, incorporating knowledge from a range of disciplines such as accounting, economics, finance, human resource management, marketing, and sustainability.

Practical Information
The BA (Hons) in Business Management programme is a graduate level 4, 5 and 6 course, in accordance with the Framework for Higher Education Qualifications in England, Wales and Northern Ireland (FHEQ).
DMU programmes and partnerships are quality assured by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education.
To comply with Danish regulations on the provision of Higher Education programmes aimed at international students, approval has been obtained from the Danish Evaluation Institute (EVA).
The UK programmes from De Montfort University are regularly evaluated by the Danish Evaluation Institute (EVA). The EVA approvals are valid for three years and have a direct impact on the issuing of student visas by the Danish Immigration Authorities. Student visas cannot be issued beyond the validity period of the EVA approvals.
Student visas may not cover the full period of study in the years when individual programmes are being re-evaluated by EVA. Therefore, students must apply for a visa extension covering the period of study exceeding the current EVA approval.
Please note that the Danish Immigration Authorities will require the standard processing fees for the visa extension and the family reunification visas will also have to be extended.
Niels Brock will provide all supplementary documentation free of charge but does not fund any visa processing fees imposed by the Danish Immigration Authorities.

Classes will take place on weekdays between 08:30 and 17:00. Please note that in addition to the modules scheduled, students are required to attend academic workshop sessions during the year. These will also be timetabled in advance.
Students will typically attend 10-12 hours of classes per week during the semester plus scheduled workshops. A minimum of 30 hours per week of unscheduled study should be anticipated.
Students will have access to a personalized online timetable.
Required textbooks are provided at no additional cost.

You will have access to other learning materials with the most important gathered on an online reading list created by your module leader. The reading list will also be in the module area on MitNielsBrock.
You will also have access to librarians, academic writing and student learning assistants, and IT experts to assist and advise you. If your query is more in-depth, please schedule an appointment with the librarian. The librarian will also be visiting your seminars throughout the academic year to equip you with skills to help you succeed in your programme.
Finally, there are online resources which you can use in your own time to study where and when you choose.
A Windows-based laptop is included in the tuition. Therefore you do not need to bring your own.
As a graduate of the BA (Hons) in Business Management you would be qualified for jobs within:

As a graduate of the BA (Hons) Business Management, you may continue into postgraduate studies at institutions which recognize a British BA degree and within fields naturally linked to your specialization/stream.
You must be 18 years or older at the time of application.
It is a requirement that you have completed upper secondary (high) school education, with a maths-related subject (e.g. finance, accounting, economics, statistics) with a grade B minimum. Examples of qualifying educations are School Leaving Certificate Examinations, IB: 28 points with 625 in HL, Higher Secondary School Certificate( H.S.C.) or equivalent.
- The math requirement must be met by a subject taken in the last two years of upper secondary education. Only the latest grade will be considered if a math-related subject is taken in both years.
The qualifying education needs to be passed with a GPA of at least 2,75 or equivalent.
We do not accept applications that do not meet the requirements mentioned above. As an example, a diploma degree does not meet the minimum requirement and the application will be rejected.
Proof of English language proficiency:
- IELTS Academic: overall score of 6.0 (with no more than one band with 5.5, and no score below 5.5)
- PTE Academic: overall score at least 52, one band is allowed to be under 52, but no score below 48
- TOEFL (internet-based): 70 overall, one band is allowed to be under 20, but no band below 15
- We do accept home editions from the three tests above and tests may not be more than two years old
- Applicants with citizenship from the USA, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or Canada do not need to show proof of language proficiency
- Applicants coming from some African countries may be exempt from providing an English test when they meet certain criteria
A motivational letter with a focus on relevant work experience. Relevant work experience is a requirement for any applicant who has a study gap of more than 2 years. The motivational letter should be a maximum of one page and focus on personal experience rather than basic personal or academic information.
The application form should be submitted by the deadlines listed above. Early submission is recommended.

International students living abroad should be aware of the extra time required for obtaining a visa/residence permit - in many cases 3 months or more. For information on visa application procedures, please contact the nearest Danish Embassy or Consulate. Seats are limited, so please apply as soon as possible to secure a place. Please note applications for more than one programme will take longer to process and could take up to 6 weeks after the deadline.
Early Admission
Your application is accepted: Your place in Copenhagen Business College's first-year class is secure, pending completion of payment.
A final decision on your application is deferred: Your credentials will be revisited within the context of the regular admission pool of applicants.
Your application is denied: If you are denied admission under early admission, you may not reapply for admission under regular admission during the same year.
Regular Admission
If you didn´t apply within early admission, you will be considered under regular admission. This means that you will get a response after the regular admission deadline.

If you are accepted into the programme, a Letter of Acceptance including payment details will be sent to the email address provided in the application form.
NOTE: Once you have been accepted into the programme, the first tuition payment needs to be made by the due date stated in your Letter of Acceptance.
Within 10 days of having received the payment, Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College will send you a signed ST1 residence permit application form by email, allowing you to begin the visa application process.

Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College is pleased to offer several scholarships. Scholarship recipients will be selected based on academic merit, leadership skills and exemplary service and character.
Scholarship Criteria
The goal of the selection process is to recognize students who demonstrate high academic achievement, leadership skills and exemplary character traits, therefore financial need is not a consideration. For BA students, only those eligible to progress to the final year of study (level 6) may apply. Each scholarship is for DKK10,000 and will be deducted from the following semester’s tuition fee.

How to apply
Scholarship applicants should submit an application in the form of a personal, relevant and well-written essay (max. 800 words). The application should include a description of the achievements and initiatives taken during the programme and should elaborate on the applicant’s success within the selection criteria.

HOW IS THE INSTRUCTION ORGANISED?
Instruction is based on a combination of lectures, workshops and cases reflecting academic models and international business practice.
IS ATTENDANCE MANDATORY?
Yes, attendance is mandatory and will be monitored closely. Attendance registration takes place in every session. Please refer to the Programme Handbook for guidance regarding absences. In case of long-term absence (more than three consecutive days), students must contact the student support unit (SSU).
HOW MANY EXAMS ARE HELD?
Student performance is assessed on a combination of module coursework (e.g. report, essay, presentations) and viva voce assessment. Please refer to the curriculum document for further information.
WHEN IS GRADUATION?
A formal British university ceremony will be held in the presence of representatives of De Montfort University and honoured guests in Copenhagen.
Depending on when you have finalized your programme, graduation takes place in March or August/September. The specific dates will be published once exam results are finalized.

Niels Brock is based on secular and democratic values. This means that behaviour and attire, which includes religious and undemocratic messages, are not accepted. This means that students are provided the opportunity to study their first year or first and second years in Copenhagen, then progress to De Montfort University in Leicester to complete their studies.
